Using an efficient turbocharger is a good way for diesel engines to gain more power. The turbo pushes more air into the motor and pushing the air intake pressure. A turbo can produce higher power while improving motor efficiency.

Typical inventory turbo increases the flow of air through a non-turbo engine three to four times. However, a turbo performance could increase the airflow five to ten times higher than a non-turbo engine.
